  1. Two Lakewood roads are temporarily closed due to century-old infrastructure causing sewer failures and sinkholes. Granger Avenue, northbound and southbound at the railroad tracks, is closed for emergency repairs on the storm sewer. Lakewood Public Works Director Chris Gordon expects construction to last roughly a month. Northland Avenue between Hilliard and Margaret avenues is also closed due to a sewer issue. Gordon expects construction to last for about two weeks. (Cleveland.com)
  2. Yesterday, Jan. 24, Boom's Pizza opened in Lakewood! The new pizzeria from former Spice Kitchen chef Ben Bebenroth is located at 14730 Detroit Avenue that was formerly home to Campbell’s Sweets Factory. (Cleveland Magazine)
  3. With more snow predicted this week, the City of Lakewood asked all residents and business owners to keep their sidewalks cleared of snow and to help keep Lakewood a year-round walkable community. Per Ordinance 521.06, residents are required to clear their sidewalks within 24 hours after a snowfall. (City of Lakewood via Twitter)
