After Winter Storm, Lakewood Warns Residents To Move Parked Cars
If parked vehicles aren't moved 24 hours after the storm, they could be ticketed and towed.

LAKEWOOD, OH β Lakewood police began ticketing snowed-in cars across the city on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Lakewood law, vehicles may not be parked on any city street for more than one day without being moved. At 2 p.m. Tuesday, police began ticketing snowed-in cars. City officials said they need vehicles moved so they can clear snow from streets.
If a vehicle is ticketed by police and still isn't moved by Wednesday afternoon, police could have the car towed. First, officers will place a ticket and a tow notice on the car.

"If the cars are still parked on the street without being moved 24 hours after the ticket and notice are placed on the vehicle, an attempt will be made to notify the registered owner. After the notification attempt is made, the auto may be towed off the street," the city warned in a statement shared on its website.
Lakewood residents and business owners are also responsible for clearing snow from the sidewalks. Many Lakewood students walk to school, making clearing snow from sidewalks essential, the city said.
