1. The City of Lakewood announced that as of yesterday, Nov. 8, Alger Road will be closed at Warren Road for approximately one week to replace a crosswalk. The city advises drivers to seek alternate routes during construction. (City of Lakewood via Twitter)
2. According to the Ohio Lottery, the $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold at the GetGo store located at 14013 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. The Powerball jackpot has dropped back down to $20 million for the drawing today, Nov. 9. Powerball lottery officials say the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 292,201,338.00. (WKYC Studios)
3. On Sunday afternoon, Nov. 6, the Ohio High School Athletic Association released the football regional semifinal playoff pairings and neutral sites. For Division 1, Region 1, number 1 team Lakewood St. Edward (11-1) will play number 5 team Cleveland St. Ignatius (8-3) at Euclid Community Stadium at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11.
