- The City of Lakewood announced that as of yesterday, Nov. 8, Alger Road will be closed at Warren Road for approximately one week to replace a crosswalk. The city advises drivers to seek alternate routes during construction. (City of Lakewood via Twitter)
- According to the Ohio Lottery, the $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold at the GetGo store located at 14013 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. The Powerball jackpot has dropped back down to $20 million for the drawing today, Nov. 9. Powerball lottery officials say the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 292,201,338.00. (WKYC Studios)
- On Sunday afternoon, Nov. 6, the Ohio High School Athletic Association released the football regional semifinal playoff pairings and neutral sites. For Division 1, Region 1, number 1 team Lakewood St. Edward (11-1) will play number 5 team Cleveland St. Ignatius (8-3) at Euclid Community Stadium at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11.
