Alligator, Snake Removed From Lakewood Home: Police

After a Lakewood resident was found dead this week, police removed an alligator and snake from his home.

LAKEWOOD, OH β€” When a Lakewood resident died this week, police had to remove a 2-foot alligator and snake from their home.

Both animals were impounded by Lakewood Animal Control on Thursday night, according to Police Chief Kevin Kaucheck.

The alligator was approximately 2-feet long and had been kept in a cage, News 5 reported. No details on the snake were immediately available, police said.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner is investigating the resident's death, Kaucheck added.
