Here are the top three stories in Lakewood today:

1. There will be a special "#ChalkTheVote" in Lakewood Park on Saturday to encourage residents to cast a ballot in the Nov. 8 General Election. Lakewood's Jon Gromek is organizing the event. The event will also feature a special focus on educating children on what it means to be an active member of the community. The event will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
2. Another inmate was pronounced dead on Tuesday at the Cuyahoga County Jail. This time, it was a 32-year-old male. He was found unresponsive in his cell at about 9:10 p.m. during a routine check. Melissa Musson, 47, died on Tuesday morning after being found in her cell in "distress." The two deaths are currently being investigated. (WKYC)
3. Cuyahoga County is considering a new proposal to create a county-wide Child Protection Team. The team would make it easier to identify and support victims of abuse in Cuyahoga County. It would require about $4 million to streamline the coordination between the county's multiple agencies. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
