- Last week, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections changed some midterm polling locations. Ahead of Tuesday’s midterm elections, changes were made to 29 precincts in seven different municipalities and affected over 24,000 voters. The precincts were Berea, Cleveland, North Olmsted, Solon, South Euclid, University Heights, and Warrensville Heights. (News 5 Cleveland)
- This Friday, the City of Lakewood will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony. The ceremony will be held in Lakewood at the Veterans Memorial in Lakewood Park (14532 Lake Avenue) to honor the men and women who served our country in the armed forces. The annual event will take place on Nov. 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Following the ceremony, participants are invited for coffee and doughnuts at the Women's Club Pavilion. (Lakewood OH)
- On Saturday, Cleveland hit a record high of 77 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The record was beaten on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The last time a record was hit for this day was in 2015. While the day brought plenty of sunshine, more than 5,000 FirstEnergy residents were without power around 4:15 p.m., with the majority of the outages in Lakewood, Cleveland, Euclid, and Berea.
