  1. The City of Lakewood has agreed to improve its sewer system. The improvements will significantly reduce the number of discharges of untreated sewage sent into Lake Erie and the Rocky River. The city has entered into a decree that requires the improvements to include two large storage basins for sewer overflows. The project will cost about $85 million. (Department of Justice)
  2. The Lakewood City Council is actively searching for new members to join the city's volunteer boards. The boards meet each month at City Hall. The openings will be available starting on Jan. 1, 2023. There are openings on the Tree Advisory & Education Board and the Architectural Board of Review. (City of Lakewood)
  3. Narcan vending machines are coming to five different locations in Cuyahoga County. The machines will contain fentanyl testing strips, safe sex kits, wound kits, and drug addiction treatment information. The vending machines are funded through state funding.
