Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:

  1. There will be a "Clean Water Lakewood" update at 7:00 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Lakewood City Hall. City leaders will host the public community meeting to discuss “Clean Water Lakewood,” the city's plan to improve and update its 100-year-old sewer system. Leaders will discuss the status of the EPA consent decree with the U.S. Department of Justice, updates on the progress of the Integrated Wet Weather Improvement Plan (IWWIP), and the Interceptor Tunnel Rehabilitation Project.   2. Lakewood's Regular Council Meeting and Committee of the Whole met the night of Feb. 6. The agenda for the council included defining acceptable uses and purposes of the Parking Meter Fund, issuance of bonds to pay the costs of improving streets in Lakewood, expanding rental rights within the city, appointing Anthony Santiago to the Board of Zoning Appeals, and more.   3. Pier W, located at 12700 Lake Avenue in Lakewood, was named one of the "100 most romantic restaurants in the nation," according to OpenTable. Pier W, a seafood-focused restaurant, has an "expansive view of Lake Erie," making it "one of the best vantages of any restaurant in Northeast Ohio."
