Cleveland Clinic And Lakewood City Schools Unveil New Art Banners For Display At Lakewood Family Health Center
The banners will be on display in front of the construction site of the soon-to-come Cleveland Clinic Lakewood Family Health Center.

LAKEWOOD, OH β Lakewood students, their parents and city officials gathered in Wasmer Auditorium at Lakewood Hospital Tuesday evening for the unveiling of two banners featuring 50 pieces of artwork from Lakewood City Schools students. The banners will be displayed during construction of the new Lakewood Family Health Center, which is set to open in summer 2018.
βWe are excited to be able to incorporate the Lakewood City School District into the Lakewood Family Health Centerβs mission in such a creative way,β said James Hekman, M.D., medical director of the Lakewood Family Health Center. βThe banners represent our ongoing commitment to being present in Lakewood and among the community we care for every day."
The 50 images of student artwork are featured on two banners and both banners will be displayed along the construction fences (corner of Belle and Detroit avenues) where the new Cleveland Clinic Lakewood Family Health Center is currently under construction.

βWe are proud and pleased to be able to share with the community through these beautiful banners the artistic talent of our students from kindergarten through our seniors,β said Jeff Patterson, superintendent of Lakewood City Schools. βWe hope it adds a bright spot in front of the construction site until the new Family Health Center is complete.β
Patterson added that Lakewood Schools have been partnering with the Cleveland Clinic for the past couple years with a mobile health lab which has been visiting the schools. Also, in the fall, LHS will be home to a school-based health center which will be staffed by Cleveland Clinic workers.
