Coffee With A Lakewood Cop Set For March

The next opportunity for Lakewood residents to meet their local police officers will be March 16.

LAKEWOOD, OH β€” The next Coffee with a Lakewood Cop is set for March 16.

The event will start at 9 a.m. and will be held at Nature's Oasis at 15613 Detroit Avenue.

"Stop by and say hello to our neighborhood police officers," the city of Lakewood said on Facebook.

Members of Lakewood police will be at the coffee shop to chat with residents. There are no speeches or agendas. Residents can ask anything they want of police or simply spend time with the officers.

"Coffee with a Cop," is a national movement and police departments across the nation participate. In previous summers, Lakewood police have switched to "Cone with a Cop," giving residents a chance to eat ice cream during the hot summer days.
