County Inspector Fired, Accused of Fudging Lakewood Store Reports

A Cuyahoga County inspector whose responsibilities included ensuring the accuracy of scales and scanners at stores in Lakewood was fired Monday, The Plain Dealer reports.

Lisa Rogers is accused of falsifying records of inspections she was responsible for in several communities including Lakewood, Beachwood, Brecksville and Maple Heights.

Inspectors like Rogers are supposed to protect consumers from being cheated by stores by ensuring that the meat scales and price scanners are reading accurate numbers.
