- U.S. Marshals have arrested the couple that was indicted by the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury for shooting and robbing a Lakewood man on Nov. 11. On Dec. 8, 20-year-old Lajaydin Lamar Neals and 19-year-old Amaris Isabella Ybarra were apprehended near a relative’s house in Texas and taken into custody. Both individuals are currently in the custody of the Taylor County, Texas jail until they are transferred to Ohio where they will appear in court. (Cleveland 19)
- Ron Cheung of Lakewood, an Oberlin College professor of economics, won "Jeopardy!" on Dec. 7, finishing with $19,599. Cheung said, "To stand at the famous lecterns and to hold the same buzzer that previous champs had held was a thrilling moment." (Fox 8 News)
- Taco Tonto’s, located at 13321 Madison Avenue in Lakewood, was one of the most popular responses to the Reddit question, "What [Cleveland] restaurants give the biggest portions and also best bang for your buck?" Specifically mentioned was Taco Tanto's "giant burrito." (CleveScene.com)

- Another Cuyahoga County Jail inmate died while in custody yesterday, Dec. 9. Edrick H. Brooks, Jr., 56, had been booked into the jail less than 24 hours before he died. Following the deaths of two inmates in November, Sheriff Steven Hammet announced the institution of new jail policies. (CleveScene.com)
- The third celebrity chef live cooking demo is on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cove Community Center. Chef Gregg Korney of Georgetown will be preparing his vegetable rice bowl. (Lakewood Community Services Center via Facebook)
