COVID-19 Outbreaks Means New Opponent For Lakewood Football
Normandy High is off the schedule, Lucas High is on after a COVID-19 outbreak in Parma.
LAKEWOOD, OH — COVID-19 threw a wrench into the Lakewood High football program's plans this week.
The team's scheduled game against Normandy High was canceled after the Parma-based high school suffered an outbreak of COVID-19. The school was unable to field a team for Friday, prompting Lakewood athletic officials to scramble for a new opponent.
Luckily, Lakewood secured a new foe for Friday night football — the Lucas High School Cubs.

The Rangers will now travel to Lucas to play the Cubs. Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m. Both the Cubs and Rangers are 4-0 on the season. The Lucas football stadium is located at 5 1st Ave. in Lucas.
