- On Nov. 21, all five members of Cuyahoga County's Conviction Integrity Unit (CIU) sent a resignation letter to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley. The letter said the board, which reviews wrongful conviction claims, only reviewed 10 petitions since 2010. The former members suggested ensuring that the public knows about CIU and giving the board more of a role in determining which petitions are reviewed. (News 5 Cleveland)
- Casey Bullock, a football player for St. Edward High School in Lakewood, has been nominated as a candidate for SBLive's Ohio high school athlete of the week for Nov. 13 to Nov, 19. The public can vote for their favorite player online until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27. (Scorebook Live)
- The Lakewood Fire Department will hold a free car seat safety check next month. The event will take place on Dec. 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fire Station #1, located at 14601 Madison Avenue.
