  1. The latest map published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that Ohio's COVID-19 transmission has worsened. There are now seven Ohio counties designated as red for high transmission. Cuyahoga County was classified as yellow for medium transmission. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
  2. The Lakewood Police Department will be hosting Coffee with a Cop on Friday, Nov. 18. The event will be at the Cove Community Center on Lake Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to noon. This will be an opportunity for the community to meet with the department for coffee and conversation. (City of Lakewood)
  3. Lakewood Mayor George and the Department of Human Services dedicated the Cove Community Center's main room as the Lawther Community Room. The dedication was on Oct. 21 in honor of Kathleen & Robert Lawther. Kathleen served as the Department of Human Services' first director after proposing the department's formation in 1989. Robert served as Lakewood's mayor for 13 years. (City of Lakewood)
