  1. The Cleveland Guardians are back. While temperatures are in the 30s here in Northeast Ohio, the Guardians have begun spring training in Goodyear, Arizona. After a 92-win season and the Guardians achieving the American League Central Division crown in 2022, here are the five top storylines to watch this spring camp. (Akron Beacon Journal)
  2. Mayor Meghan George provided an update on the development plan for the former Lakewood Hospital site. On Wednesday, the mayor wrote that the City Hall team is continuing to work towards achieving the community vision for the Downtown Development. The city and its development partner, CASTO / North Pointe Realty, have been working diligently through the complex layers of site planning, architecture, engineering, finance, and legislative and administrative review necessary to meet local requirements.   3. The federal government is sending medical experts to the site of the train derailment in East Palestine an hour and a half way from Lakewood to help respond to residents' concerns. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is planning to send a team to “assess the public health needs” and potential short- and long-term health effects on the local community due to the hazardous materials that the train had been carrying.   • Ghost the Musical is playing Feb. 10 to Feb. 26 at the Beck Center for the Arts. The famous movie adapted to the stage tells the story of a deceased husband who consults with a medium to save his endangered wife. You likely know what happens, but you need to experience it live in the theater. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Admission is $38 for adults, $34 for children, and $17 for seniors. (Ohio Magazine)
