I-77 Bridge Work, Other Projects Could Impact Your Upcoming Plans

LAKEWOOD, OH — As summer enters its final stages, there will be plenty of road work conducted throughout the Buckeye State. The Ohio Department of Transportation released a list of its work for the weekend.

Here are the traffic projects that could impact your plans, according to ODOT.

The W. 44th St. bridge replacement over I-90 in Cleveland. Project should be completed in October.

• Interstate 90 eastbound and westbound at W. 44th will be closed nightly on Thursday, August 19, Tuesday, August 24, and Wednesday, August 25, between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. for bridge work.
  • Detour for eastbound traffic will be W. 44th to S Marginal Rd. to W. 41 and westbound traffic will be W. 41 St. to N. Marginal Rd. to W.44th St.

Noise walls will repaired along I-77.

• I-77 northbound between Wallings Rd. and Pleasant Valley Rd. will have a right lane closure on Monday, August 23, and Tuesday, August 24, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for noise wall repairs.

Bridge repairs along I-77 to I-490 west.

• I-77 northbound and southbound to I-490 west will be closed beginning on Friday, August 20, at 7 p.m. through Monday, August 23, at 6 a.m. for bridge repairs.
  • Detour Northbound – will be Broadway Ave. to Rockefeller Ave. to I-490.
  • Detour Southbound – will be E. 30th northbound to Woodland Ave. westbound to E. 14th St. southbound to Orange Ave. southbound to Broadway Ave. eastbound to Rockefeller Ave. westbound to I-490.

• I-77 northbound and southbound to I-490 west will be closed beginning on Friday, August 20, at 7 p.m. through Monday, August 23, at 6 a.m. for bridge repairs.
  • Detour Northbound – will be Broadway Ave. to Rockefeller Ave. to I-490.
  • Detour Southbound – will be E. 30th northbound to Woodland Ave. westbound to E. 14th St. southbound to Orange Ave. southbound to Broadway Ave. eastbound to Rockefeller Ave. westbound to I-490.
