ICYMI: Yuzu On Madison Is Closing, Noodle Restaurant To Open
The owner of Yuzu announced the closing on social media and introduced its replacement at that location.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Yuzu, a popular Madison Ave. bar and restaurant announced this week that they were closing their doors for good. Yuzu owner Dave Bumba also announced that another restaurant was already set to take its place.
The Aji Noodle Bar will take its place and is set to open sometime in July. Bumba introduces Jackie Kim as the new owner in his social media post and explains that Kim is an experienced restauranteur (Kim is the owner of Ohashi’s in North Olmsted).
Bumba described bar owner ship as "... much like buying a boat; the two most exciting days are the day you buy it, and the day you sell it." He added that while the restaurant had experienced some good times, the last three years have been "the most stressful years of my life."

The Yuzu owner also wanted to make it clear that the decision to sell had nothing to do with recent controversial promotions like #tampongate or the unfortunate "Oops! All Fentanyl" brunch post on Instagram. He points out that the wheels were in motion for the sale before those events occurred.
Bumba stated, "We greatly appreciate all the customers and staff over the last three years that have truly made me believe the best in people and supported our vision. Lakewood has been a great home. I am certain Aji Noodle Bar will be an excellent addition to the neighborhood."
