Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:
- The Lakewood Black Caucus will be hosting its inaugural allyship program on Saturdays between Nov. 6 and Nov. 27. The free series will be offered from 11:20 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. at Lakewood Presbyterian Church on Detroit Ave. The series will use videos, journaling, and discussion groups to educate participants on the impact of historical events. - The Cleveland-Cuyahoga Port Authority has received a $27.2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The money will be used to modernize and expand the port's warehouse infrastructure. - Lakewood's next City Council meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 7 in the City Hall Auditorium. The City Council will be considering the re-codification of ordinances, a proclamation regarding fire prevention activities, and speed enforcement trends.
