Joan “Joanie” Pittman, 54, of Lakewood, Died Aug. 14

Joan “Joanie” Pittman (nee Janollari), 54, of Lakewood died after a brief brave fight with liposarcoma on Aug. 14, 2012 in the loving embrace and hearts of family and dear friends. 

Devoted mother of Amanda L. Pittman; beloved daughter of the late Dhori and Joyce M. Janollari; deeply loved sister of Gloria Cichon, Carol McDonald (deceased) (Richard), Andrew Janollari (Kathleen) and Ted Janollari; dearest loved aunt of Millisa Leeder (John), Sara Janollari, Matt Schuster, Wyatt Janollari, Tony Schuster, Erin Randall and Michelle Janollari; dear great aunt of John Leeder III, Christopher Leeder, Lauren Leeder, Anthony Janollari, Makyla Janollari and Max Randall; precious cat Cinnamon.

Joanie was the longtime claims manager of Self Funded Plans, Inc.

She was a 1976 graduate of West Tech High School and a member of the 1976 reunion class committee. She was also a devoted friend to many.

In lieu of flowers family requests doations be made in her memory to The Cleveland Food Bank, and the Lakewood Animal Shelter.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 17, 8pm at the CATAVOLOS-BERRY FUNERAL HOME, 23040 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, where the family will receive friends Friday 2-4 and 6pm until time of service.
