  1. The Lakewood 2023 budget is $209.5 million that will go toward interceptor tunnel repairs to improve the sewer system, the completion of the Charles A. Foster Pool at Lakewood Park, groundwork for renovations at Madison Park, upgrading police and fire radio equipment, and more. Mayor Meghan George said, "We're still providing the exemplary services that we strive to provide our residents, as well as tackling new projects." (Cleveland.com)
  2. Forty-one beagles were rescued from a condemned home in Lakewood and are now ready to find new homes! Several dogs are available for adoption now, and the rest will be available this weekend. (WKYC)
  3. Today and on Jan. 28, the Lakewood Historical Society is accepting donations of housewares, home decor, Christmas decorations, fine china, small trinkets, and more. You can drop off donations from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Haber Center, 13314 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. No clothing, bedding, or shoes will be accepted at this time. (Cleveland.com)
