Lakewood High School Says Goodbye to 'The Mods'; New Academic Wing Opens

The Mods served their purpose but will no longer be needed with the opening of the new academic wing at Lakewood High School.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The new Lakewood High School academic wing opened Tuesday on the first day back to school after holiday break. Current seniors will get to enjoy the new wing. The remainder of the school's construction projects are expected to be completed by August.

The new wing will be home to all of the classes that were once held in the mods as well as a few new ones. Crossing the street to attend classes will no longer be necessary.

An open house is scheduled on Jan. 24 for the public to tour the new Lakewood High School academic wing.
