- Lakewood City Schools wants to upgrade its facility. The district has a request for qualifications (RFQ) for professional design services in connection with construction. Superintendent Maggie Niedzwiecki said the district is financially in good shape and is "not looking" to take money from the community for the project. (Cleveland.com)
- On Tuesday, Oct. 4, members of the Justice Center Executive Steering Committee voted down the proposal to build the new Cuyahoga County Jail in the Industrial Valley area. The committee was worried about the environmental concerns for the people who would have to work and stay there. (Cleveland 19)
