Lakewood Football Season Kicks Off Today
The Rangers to square off against Lincoln-West High School tonight.

In football team’s second year in the Westshore Conference, the Rangers are looking to improve on last year’s 6-4 record.
Don’t be fooled by that record, either.

Head coach Ron Lewis is hoping to rally his troops this season.
“The thing for us is that we need to get back to playing Lakewood football,” Lewis told the Westshore Sports Fanatic website. “We have a very proud tradition, and we think going into a league that has some stability is going to be a big boost for us."

The Rangers’ season starts tonight against Lincoln-West High School at Lakewood Stadium at 7 p.m. tonight.
“To play good Lakewood football, be competitive and play it with people who are our neighbors will be a great experience for our kids,” Lewis said. “And the competition will be tough."
