Lakewood High School Diver Headed to State Tournament

A Lakewood High School junior is the second diver in two years to qualify for the state tournament.Â
John Liber finished in seventh-place at the recent Division 1 District competition, according to a post on the Lakewood City Schools’ website.
He will compete at the state tournament this Saturday.

Liber wasn’t alone at the diving portion of the district tournament.
Jim McMahan finished in 10th place, and Soule Dimacchia finished 19th.

Last year, Michael Pearlman became the first Lakewood diver in 20 years to make it to the state tournament.
