  1. The City of Lakewood agreed to a decree that includes spending about $85 million to improve its sewer system. The city will construct a high-rate treatment system to significantly reduce discharges of untreated sewage from its sewer system into Lake Erie and the Rocky River. The city will also pay the United States and Ohio a civil penalty of $100,000 for the violations alleged in the complaint against the city. (Highland County Press)
  2. No trash or recycling will be collected on Thursday, Nov. 24, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. For residents whose normal collection is Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, trash and recycling should be ready by 6:30 a.m. on the day before the regularly scheduled collection day.   3. Fairview Park police have identified a person of interest while investigating the attempted carjacking and shooting of a 25-year-old Lakewood man last Friday. Police executed a search warrant this week at the Fairview Village Apartments complex and the chief said charges should be forthcoming. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
