Man In Lakewood Jail After Shooting Wife Dead On Plover Street: Police
A shooting in Lakewood Tuesday morning resulted in a woman's body being transported to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.
LAKEWOOD, OH — Lakewood police and fire units were dispatched to the 12900 block of Plover Street in Lakewood Tuesday morning after receiving a call from a man who claimed that his son had shot his wife (the caller's daughter-in-law).
According to a news release, officers arrived at the home and found the body of Stacy A. White, the suspect's 36-year-old wife on a bed in the basement. The body was transported to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Upon arrival, the 38-year-old suspect surrendered to officers and was transported to the Lakewood City Jail.

Nearby Harrison Elementary School was placed on a 15-minute lockdown at approximately 9 a.m. while police investigated. Classroom instruction continued but students and staff were not allowed to leave the building.
The suspect will be charged on Wednesday, according to Lakewood police.
