- In the November election, Ohio voters will decide who will be allowed to vote in Issue Two, which would change the Ohio Constitution. Rep. Michael Skindell, D-Lakewood, opposes Issue Two because it "would add new restrictions to voting for all Ohioans, taking our state backwards." (Washington Examiner)
- Cuyahoga County officials continue to debate how to improve the Cuyahoga County jail. Officials are also debating whether to build a new facility while the inmates and staff suffer. Cleveland.com interviewed former inmates and staff, who described inedible food, unsanitary conditions, and overuse of solitary confinement. County Spokeswoman Mary Louise Madigan said the specific complaints were "unsubstantiated claims." (Cleveland.com)
