Lakewood School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

LAKEWOOD, OH — The first day of school in Lakewood is August 21 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Lakewood School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/12: No School (NEOEA Day)

November

• 11/6: No School (Professional Day)
• 11/7 - 11/9: No School/Evening Parent Teacher Conferences (Grades K-8 Only)
• 11/15 - 11/19: Evening Parent Teacher Conferences (LHS)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/21: No School (Professional Day)
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/4: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/15: No School (Professional Day)
• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/18 - 3/22: No School (Spring Recess)

April

• 4/19: No School (Good Friday)
• 4/22: No School (Non-Instructional Day)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/2: Lakewood High School Graduation
• 6/4: Last Day of School
