Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:

  1. The Lakewood Scooter Share Pilot Program has ended for 2022. The pilot program allowed residents to use several temporary scooter stations throughout Lakewood. Now that the program has ended, the data collected will be analyzed to determine the next steps for the scooter program. Residents will also be invited to share their thoughts in an upcoming survey.   2. On Jan. 8, the Lakewood Fire Department will be holding its first car seat safety check of 2023. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Fire Station No. 1.   3. The Pediatric Sickle Cell Team from Cleveland Clinic gave patients a very special treat this holiday season. Caregivers hosted the annual holiday drive-up for patients and their loved ones last weekend, featuring bags with goodies for the whole family.
