Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:
- Ward 1 Councilman Kyle G. Baker, Councilman-at-Large Tom Bullock, and Ward 2 Councilman Jason Shachner recently submitted a communication to address the ongoing problem of speeding in Lakewood. The council members are researching and drafting a "complete and green streets" ordinance and want to start a community discussion of all the options to deter speeding. Baker said, "I want our community to know that City Council is committed to doing the work to help address these issues so that people that speed or drive distracted are cited appropriately and know that Lakewood is not a place that they can get away with it." (Cleveland.com)
- Gray House Pies, known for fresh-baked pies, is coming to Lakewood's West End. The new storefront will be located at 18103 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. (Cleveland.com)
- Taisa Kulyk from the Hryhory Kytasty Cleveland School of Bandura is coming to the Lakewood Library. Kulyk will stop by the Main Library Auditorium on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 2:00 p.m. Don't miss this chance to learn more about the bandura and experience a live performance!
