Lakewood Sponsoring 'Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Day' For Cats
PetFix of Northeast Ohio will perform the procedures for just $10 per cat, well below the $45 to $65 it normally costs.
LAKEWOOD, OH —The city of Lakewood has announced it is sponsoring a discount spay and neuter event for cats later this month.
"Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Day" will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on April 21, and will cost just $10 per cat. Appointments are necessary.
According to PetFix of Northeast Ohio, the city's partner on the project, the procedure normally costs between $45 and $65.

Cat owners who sign up for the event are asked to drop their pets off at 7:30 a.m. at Foster Pool, Lakewood Park, located at 14532 Lake Ave. The PetFix transport van will be there to pick up enrolled pets, which will be returned to the same spot at 4 p.m.
The service is open to Lakewood residents only and is only for owned cats. Owners can reserve their cat's spot by calling PetFix at 216-732-7040.
