  1. A beloved Lakewood sweet shop is closing its doors after over a decade of serving the community. Fear's Confections on Madison Avenue will soon be permanently closing its doors. The popular shop has been serving Lakewood since 2010. The sweet shop will close for the final time on Feb. 14 at 9:00 p.m. (WKYC.com)
  2. Experience the power and beauty of poetry right in our community. The Beck Center For The Arts is hosting a poetry reading on Jan. 21 at 2:30 p.m. The event is free and inclusive. This will be the first event in a series of poetry readings and other functions the Center will be hosting in 2023. (AllEvents)
  3. Want to do something special with your child on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day? Head over to the Cove Community Center for a fascinating interactive experience that will teach children how Dr. King's message matters more than ever today.
