Lakewood Was Well-Represented at the Democratic National Convention [Photos, Video]

LAKEWOOD, OH — Last week's Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia has been wrapped up and Jason Russell, Lakewood City Planner and South Euclid city councilman was there. Jason shared his photos from the DNC with Patch (see the full photo gallery at the bottom of this article).

Russell described the atmosphere in the convention hall as "electric" beginning with the first night. He also said Vermont Senator and presidential candidate Bernie Sanders was "right in front of me when he spoke on behalf of the state of Vermont."

Russell was not the only connection that Lakewood had at the DNC, Ohio Rep. Nickie Antonio was also there. Antonio is a former member of Lakewood City Council, she can be seen below during roll call with Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown and former Columbus, Ohio Mayor, Michael Coleman.
