LakewoodAlive and Great Lakes Brewing Partner to Make City Center Park Great Again

Volunteers from LakewoodAlive and Great Lakes Brewing Company teamed up again to clean up and spread mulch at Lakewood City Center Park.

LakewoodAlive and Great Lakes Brewing Company (GLBC), have teamed up again to beautify City Center Park. Volunteers from GLBC came to Downtown Lakewood on Friday to clean up and spread mulch in the flowerbeds and surrounding areas of the city-owned park in the center of Downtown Lakewood.

Now in its second year, this Downtown Lakewood mulching project represents one of the numerous ways GLBC supports communities. Established in 1988 as the first brewpub and microbrewery in Ohio, GLBC has developed a reputation for its emphasis on sustainable practices, charitable giving and community service.

Friday’s event was the 15th volunteer project taken on by LakewoodAlive’s so far in 2016.
