  1. Lakewood City Council President John Litten was featured on "Meet Your Electeds." Litten wants to bring new businesses and housing opportunities to the heart of the city by redeveloping the former Lakewood Hospital site. View the link to learn more facts about Litten. (Spectrum News 1)

Several Ohio cities received a perfect score of 100 in a national report grading municipalities across the nation for equality, including Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus — but Lakewood scored a 58. The cities were graded based on the Human Rights Campaign Municipal Equality Index for 2022, which examined the inclusivity of local laws, policies, and services for LGBTQ+ residents. (WDTN)
  3. Yesterday, Dec. 5, the football team at St. Edwards High School in Lakewood was welcomed back with a celebration after winning its sixth state championship. The celebration included a video tribute and speeches from the team's captains. Head Coach Tom Lombardo said he is "Super proud, it’s a lot of pressure to handle, we got rated highly to start. I don’t know if we were the No. 1 team at the beginning of the year, but we were the best team at the end of the year." (Fox 8 News)
