Man Crashes Into Dollar Store on Detroit Avenue

Crash
A man crashed a vehicle into the Dollar Discount store in the 12400 block of Detroit Avenue at around 12:15 a.m. March 8. He was taken to Fairview Hospital with unreported injuries.

Police received a report that the copper piping was stripped from a home in the 1600 block of Cohassett Avenue at around 4:30 p.m. March 7.

A man punched out the window of woman’s vehicle in the 17400 block of Woodford Avenue at around 3 p.m. March 8 following an argument.
Burglary
A man returned to his home in the 2100 block of Olive Avenue to find that it had been burglarized on March 8. There were no signs of forced entry, but the man reported several items — including jewelry and credit cards — stolen.
Drug charges
A man faces a host of charges following a traffic stop near the railroad tracks on W. 117th Street at around 5 a.m. March 9. The man was charged with drug trafficking, drug possession, and driving under suspension. He also had a warrant out for his arrest out of the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Dog hit by a car
A dog “running loose in traffic” in the 12200 block of Detroit Avenue was struck by a vehicle at around 11:15 a.m. March 9. No word on the condition of the dog.
Attempted break-in
Police received a report that someone was trying to break into the north entrance of the Lake Erie Screw Building at around 1:30 a.m. March 10.
Fighting with paramedics
A man was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to identify after he was fighting with paramedics at Lakewood Hospital at around 2 a.m. March 10.
