Naked man in the street

Fortunately for Lakewood residents, most people aren’t awake at 4:40 a.m. That’s around the time that a man — wearing no clothes — was spotted running down Clifton Boulevard on Aug. 23. His clothes were found nearby, in the 18000 block of Clifton Boulevard.

Theft

A man told police that someone broke into his vehicle and stole three baseball bats in the 1400 block Cordova Avenue on Aug. 21. 

Shotguns shells found

Someone reported finding shotgun shells in the parking lot of the at around 3:30 p.m. Aug. 21. 

“Sweet” car

A woman in the 1200 block of Clifton Prado told police that someone poured honey on her car at around 8 a.m. Aug. 21.

Disturbance

A woman “took a crowbar,” and smashed up a vehicle near the intersection of French Avenue and Clifton Boulevard at around 11:30 p.m. Aug. 22.

Grand theft

A car in the 2000 block of Brown Road was reported stolen at around 5:30 a.m. Aug. 23. 

Rental car not returned

The at 11800 Madison Avenue filed a police report on Aug. 23, after one of the renters didn’t return a car. The car had been kept “for months.”

Criminal damaging

A woman told police that while she was driving to work, someone shot her windshield with a BB gun on McKinley Avenue near Interstate 90 at around 12:45 a.m. Aug. 23.
