Meet Lakewood's New Homecoming King, Queen

It was nice to get back to normal, with a homecoming parade and a new royal court.

LAKEWOOD, OH β€” After a turbid, pandemic-fueled year, seasonal markers of normalcy feel more grandiose and welcome than ever. In that vein, Lakewood High celebrated a new homecoming court with a football game and parade this weekend.

The football game may not have gone Lakewood's way β€” they lost 28-12 to Holy Name on Friday β€” the community was still able to greet its new Homecoming King Josh Mika and Queen Veruca Jouriles.

The Spirit Parade also returned, giving the community a chance to celebrate the revived Rangers football team (4-2 on the season), the awesome marching band and the newly-elected homecoming court.
