Motorcycle Crash Lands Man in the Hospital

Police responded to a crash at the intersection of Clifton and Lake roads on the city's west side.

A 55-year-old man was taken to the hospital when a car near the intersection of Clifton and Lake roads struck his motorcycle Thursday afternoon.

Capt. Ed Hassing from the Lakewood Police Department said the man suffered non-life-threatening injuries — possibly a broken leg.

Small crowds of neighbors lined the sidewalk to have a look at the crash — some of them witnesssed the incident.

“It wasn’t a very serious accident,” Hassing said, adding that the police report wasn’t immediately available.
