Another great fourth of July celebration in Lakewood, Ohio
The Lakewood Fourth of July Parade Grand Marshal, Rear Admiral Janet Donovan helped kick things off, leading the parade down Lake Avenue. The weather was picture-perfect for a parade. A list of all 104 Lakewood Fourth of July Parade applicants can be viewed here.
Later in the day, rain threatened to disrupt the Lakewood Project concert and fireworks show at Lakewood Park.
City Hall was keeping a close eye on the weather and just before 9 p.m., Mayor Summers sent out a tweet saying that Lakewood's fireworks show was "full speed ahead" and that the Lakewood Project would be playing a shorter set.
