- Lakewood police responded to a robbery report at Westside Skates on Madison Avenue on Jan. 2. According to officials, an employee was threatened by a suspect who had a knife and stole shoes from the store. Police found the man on Brown Road near Athens and charged him with aggravated robbery. - Gray House Pizza is officially open at 14201 Madison Ave. Owner Joe Schlott originally opened Gray House Pies and now opened a pizza location after his experience making pizza. For the last eight years, Schlott has been making and perfecting the Detroit-style pie and thought there was no better location than Lakewood. "Lakewood is full of adventurous eaters," he said.
