Sartini's Pizzeria Opens In Lakewood And Expands O'Toole's Menu, Pub Space

LAKEWOOD, OH — Patrick and Urvashi O'Toole cut the ribbon and officially opened their latest endeavor on the block in between Elbur and Wyandotte on Saturday. Sartini's Pizzeria at 13619 Detroit Ave. in Lakewood is next door to O'Toole's Pub and Restaurant which is located right at the corner of Elbur and Detroit.

Sartini's menu features Italian favorites such as traditional, NY Style and sheet pizzas. Unique specialty pizzas are also on the menu. In addition to pizza, Sartini's also has pasta dinners, calzones, sub sandwiches, salads, wings and a variety of appetizers. Urvashi O'Toole told Patch that all of their food is fresh, the dough, pasta and pizza sauce are all cooked on site using family recipes.

O'Toole said that the acquisition of the pizza shop and the fully-equipped kitchen that came with it has added efficiencies to their overall food operation and even more entertainment possibilities at the O'Toole's Pub location.

"The entire O'Toole's kitchen operation is now at Sartini's," O'Toole told Patch. Everything on the original O'Toole's Pub and Restaurant menu along with catering and the private room will all be available and now pizzas and calzones from Sartini's can also be enjoyed at the Pub.

"Why have two kitchens?" she said, the Sartini's kitchen is larger and has all of the ovens and equipment needed so food will came out even faster than before. With the kitchen at the Pub being retired, there will now be additional space available and the O'Tooles already have plans for it. Video games, pinball machines, bubble hockey and other fun diversions for adults and kids are planned for the reclaimed space.

Live music featuring local bands, a sports bar with a private party room and a new pizzeria with a full service kitchen has truly made the block on Detroit between Wyandotte and Elbur an entertainment/dining mecca. If all goes well, O'Toole says that their next investment could be putting garage doors on the rear of the building which would really open up warm weather festivities.
