Scarecrows Return to Madison Avenue in Lakewood
Madison Avenue will once again, be lined with scarecrows from Riverside Drive to 117th.
LAKEWOOD, OH – The scarecrows will be back on Madison Avenue this Halloween season for Scarecrow Festival 2016 sponsored by the Lakewood Kiwanis and Uptown Lakewood.
Participating scarecrows need to be registered by October 8th, registration is $25 and benefits Lakewood Kiwanis’ Eliminate Project and Uptown Lakewood. Downloadable registration form can be found below.
- Kick-off Date is Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Lakewood Fire Department, 14601 Madison Avenue – 10 A.M. to 12 Noon!
- Awards on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Lakewood Fire Department, – 7:00 P.M.
- You will receive an email confirming the location of your scarecrow.
- You must agree to display your scarecrow no later than Saturday, October 8, 2016 to Sunday, October 23, 2016 on Madison Ave. between W. 117th and Riverside Drive.
- You must agree to maintain and care for your scarecrow (i.e. repairs, bringing indoors or covering if necessary)
Mayor Summers will be kicking off the Scarecrow Festival on October 8th at 10 a.m. at Fire Station No. 1. Summers will make all the scarecrows "honorary Lakewood citizens" with family-friendly games to follow.
