  1. Cleveland police believe the suspect in the Cleveland Dollar Tree robbery may be the same suspect that attempted to rob Mr. Hero's in Lakewood. Police say on Nov. 23 the suspect brandished a gun at the Dollar Tree located at 12709 Bellaire Road and demanded the money from the cash drawers. On Nov. 25, the suspect attempted to rob Mr. Hero's, located at 1510 West 117th Street in Lakewood. Police describe the suspect as a man around 5 foot 7 inches tall and between 120 to 150 pounds. Detectives are asking the public to help identify the suspect from the two security camera photos. (Cleveland 19 News)
  2. Fairview Park police are searching for 20-year-old Lajaydin Lamar Neals and 19-year-old Amaris Isabella Ybarra, who were charged with attempted murder and aggravated robbery in connection to the shooting of a 25-year-old Lakewood man last month. The victim was wounded in the back but survived the incident. Neals and Ybarra lived at the Fairview Village Apartments complex, but have since abandoned the residence. Neals is a 5-foot-7, 130-pound male, with brown eyes and black hair. Ybarra is a 5-foot-1, 140-pound female, with brown eyes and brown hair. Police ask anyone with information to call 440-356-4422 or email rrutt@fairviewpark.org. (Cleveland.com)
  3. Lakewood resident Ron Cheung, an economics professor and department chair at
    Oberlin College, will compete on "Jeopardy!"
    He will compete on the long-running game show today, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. He could potentially face the quiz show’s latest super champion, Cris Pannullo, depending on tonight's outcome. (Cleveland.com)
