St. Edward High Selects New President
KC McKenna will become the new president of St. Edward High School in July.

LAKEWOOD, OH β KC McKenna is the new president of St. Edward High School.
McKenna's selection ends a six-month search for the high school's next leader. He will assume his new role on July 1, 2022.
βI am grateful to the Board of Trustees for giving me the opportunity to lead the St. Edward High School community,β McKenna said in a statement. βI am excited to work on behalf of our faculty and staff, alumni, parents and students to continue to advance our Holy Cross values, deliver an exceptional college preparatory education, and develop innovative programs that will continue to drive growth at St. Edβs for years to come.β

Since 2019, McKenna has been principal of St. Edward High. He has also been the school's vice president of admission and strategic initiatives.
Current St. Edward President Jim Kubacki plans on retiring after this school year. He has been president of the high school since 2010. He will continue to be a part-time consultant for the school to "assure a smooth transfer of responsibility," the school said.

In a note to the community, Nick Gonnella, chairman, St. Edward High School Board of Trustees, praised McKenna's hiring.
On behalf of the board of trustees, I believe that KC has been an integral part of St. Edward for the last 15 years and has contributed to the financial stability, robust admission rates, and innovation that has put St. Edward in a very unique position. Assuming the president role will allow him to continue to advance our mission each day to educate the hearts and minds of students to have the competence and courage to transform our world.
