1. Saturday, Oct. 8 marks the return of the popular music festival and cancer fundraiser LoveMuffinPalooza 2022. The event is designed to support and raise funds for The Gathering Place, a cancer support center with locations in in Beachwood and Westlake. LoveMuffinPalooza 2022 will be held at the all-ages venue, Bop Top. The entry fee is $10, with all proceeds going to The Gathering Place. (Subscription: cleveland.com)
2. If you're looking for an opportunity to work with the City of Lakewood, now is a great time to check out available positions. The Civil Service Commission is hiring for the position of a firefighter/paramedic. The entry-level exam is scheduled on Nov. 8 and will be available to the first 150 applicants for the role. 3. This weekend, the Lakewood Historical Society will say goodbye to one of its most popular exhibits for the rest of the year.
