Here are the top three stories in Lakewood today:
- Saturday, Oct. 8 marks the return of the popular music festival and cancer fundraiser LoveMuffinPalooza 2022. The event is designed to support and raise funds for The Gathering Place, a cancer support center with locations in in Beachwood and Westlake. LoveMuffinPalooza 2022 will be held at the all-ages venue, Bop Top. The entry fee is $10, with all proceeds going to The Gathering Place. (Subscription: cleveland.com)
- If you're looking for an opportunity to work with the City of Lakewood, now is a great time to check out available positions. The Civil Service Commission is hiring for the position of a firefighter/paramedic. The entry-level exam is scheduled on Nov. 8 and will be available to the first 150 applicants for the role.
