Traffic Alert: Detroit Ave. Near Former Lakewood Hospital to be Closed for Building Demolition
The professional office building at Belle and Detroit is being demolished to make way for the new Cleveland Clinic Family Health Center.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Driving through downtown Lakewood around the former hospital site will be a bit trickier this week while the demolition of the north wall of the Lakewood Professional Office Building takes place.
Detroit Avenue between St. Charles Avenue and Marlowe Avenue will be closed from January 9-13, for the demolition of the professional office building at the southwest corner of Belle and Detroit. The road closure will ensure public safety during the demolition of this section of the building. The two block section of roadway will be closed between the hours of 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. After 5:30 pm, the road will re-open each night.
Parking for businesses on the north side of Detroit can be reasonably accessed using the posted Detour routes. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes. The RTA #26 bus line will also be re-routed to adjust for this closure.
