Valentine's Day 2022: Ohio's 7 Most Romantic Restaurants

LAKEWOOD, OH — If you're a fan of candlelit dinners, the Buckeye State is the place to be. Ohio is home to seven of America's most romantic restaurants, according to a new list.

OpenTable, a restaurant reservation and review website, released its list of the 100 most romantic restaurants in the U.S. The list was based on restaurant reviews collected last year. Each restaurant was scored based on its overall diner rating, user klout, total number of reviews, and regional overall ranking. Each restaurant was then judged based on the percentage of reviews that selected "romantic" as a special feature.

Ohio had the second-most restaurants on the list, trailing only California's 11 "romantic" spots. The Cincinnati-area was specifically highlighted on the list, with four of Ohio's seven most-romantic restaurants based around the Queen City.

This was also the third time that Carlo & Johnny made the list, OpenTable said.

• Carlo & Johnny in Cincinnati
• Jag's Steak & Seafood in West Chester
• Mitchell's Ocean Club in Columbus
• Pier W in Lakewood
• Sotto in Cincinnati
• The Precinct in Cincinnati

With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, now is the time to book a reservation at one of these spots.

"Our data suggests that Valentine's Day dining is rebounding this year, with reservations up 30 percent nationwide compared to last year," said Susan Lee, chief growth officer at OpenTable. "We're excited to see this momentum leading up to what has traditionally been one of the biggest dining days of the year for restaurants."
