ICYMI: Watch the Final Collapse of the Lakewood Professional Building
The Lakewood Professional Building is demolished to make way for the new Cleveland Clinic Lakewood Family Health Center.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The final stages of knocking down the Lakewood Professional Building took place this week and were captured on video.
The demolition project started with tearing down the Lakewood Hospital parking garage in November. See the walking bridge from the garage to the former Lakewood Hospital get torn down here.
Lakewood City Council voted unanimously in 2015 to close Lakewood Hospital and build a new Family Health Center. Council's decision was confirmed by Lakewood voters in the 2016 election.

The Cleveland Clinic will build the new state-of-the-art Lakewood Family Health Center in space where the parking garage and office building used to stand.

According to a document on the City's website, the new Family Health Center will offer the following services:

- Emergency Department
- Primary Care featuring an advanced patient centered medical home model
- Extended hours/weekends
- Procedures including cardiac and pulmonary testing
- Radiology and lab services
- eVisits/MyChart
- Home care coordinated with Family Health Center and Fairview
Selected specialties as determined by community need:
- Family Medicine/Pediatrics
- Women’s Health (incl. midwifery)
- Diabetes Care
- Musculoskeletal Care
- Ophthalmology/ Optometry
- Brain Health/Behavioral Health
- Pulmonology
- Urology
- Cardiac Care
- Geriatrics
- Digestive Diseases
- Chronic Disease Clinics
- Pharmacy
- Physical/Occupational Therapy
Note: This list does not include services that may be provided by private practitioners in the Lakewood Professional Building.
